The Tortoise Shell Home is a mobile, prefab cabin or small home based on a steel frame and wood-paneled walls. It’s fully insulated with vinyl double-pane windows, french front door and vinyl flooring. The bathroom includes a 4′ shower, toilet and wet sink.

This prefab home is mounted on a heavy-duty trailer.
Green features: a self-contained composting toilet (standard on model 3), off grid solar, water treatment system for utilization of stream or lake water.

All models are 8 X 16 feet.
Model 1, The Box Turtle.
Price: $17,500.

Model 2, The Desert Tortoise, has all the features of Model 1, plus a traditional gable roof, a kitchen area with sink, hot-plate and refrigerator, two wall cabinets and two base cabinets. It also includes a fold-down Futon Bed on main level.
Price: $19,900.

Model 3, The Galapagos has all the features of Model 2, plus it has a roomy loft,
a simple gray water system, an optional compost toilet and solar power options.
Price: $21,900.
