This house is a different kind of prefab. With strategic front-end planning, relocation and recycling, over 600,000 lbs of salvaged materials, from Boston’s Big Dig dismantled I-93 highway, were delivered to the site to provide the structure for this modern prefab home.
This steel and concrete house was framed within two days, with structural pieces reused as-is, speeding up construction from two weeks to 12 hours.
