These prefab homes, studios and cabanas are constructed from steel shipping containers. These recycled clear-span, 20” steel box frames, are delivered by truck and lifted in place by crane or forklift. Models range from a small guest house or studio to a three bedroom house with two full baths, organized around a central courtyard.
These shipping container homes come with large glass expanses, a well insulated envelope and a modular living green roof, which reduces the ‘heat island’ effect especially in urban Centers.
